With sales offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France and Italy, and distributors in many countries across the world, our client has built up a strong international market presence.

Within the solidly growing organisation in France we are currently searching a candidate for the position of (m/v) Field Sales Manager West France (Nord, Normandie, Île-de-France, Centre, Bretagne, Poitou-Charentes, Aquitaine).

Information fonction: 

In the position of Field Sales Manager West France you are responsible for the achievement of the qualitative and quantitative distribution objectives in such a way that an optimal co-operation with the business will be realized. You are part of the successful Sales Department France. You will be managing 7 regional Sales Representatives in the region of West France.

Your responsibilities are:

  • Monitoring the sales performance and the profit targets of the Field Sales team by ensuring optimal performance by defining goals and abilities;
  • Coordinate activities and plans by sector in close consultation with the Director France and the key-account managers and the marketing team;
  • Monthly monitoring of the actual sales versus budget and compared to the sales forecast;
  • Implement the national distribution strategy, sales policies and budgets through the use of effective planning, implementation and monitoring;
  • Monitoring the realization of the distribution objectives for each region versus the monthly target issued by the sales and account managers;
  • Translating market trends into specific sales targets and results;
  • Analysing current marketplace and feeding back important market and competitive information;
  • Chairing the field sales meeting on a regular basis and attending and contributing to the Business team meetings;
  • Supervise and develop the regional field managers, regional managers and merchandisers, by training on the job, coaching and / or sales training;
  • Planning, implementing and monitoring action campaigns;
  • Taking the lead in field sales related projects.

We are looking for:

  • At least 6 to 8 years of experience in sales-oriented/account management position and several years of experience in a leadership role in the building materials or related industry;
  • Bachelor/Master degree in commercial field of study;
  • Ability to analyse and interpret market research providing guidance to the direct reports;
  • Effective interpersonal communication and consultative skills, both verbal and written;
  • Dynamic, pragmatic and action-oriented attitude, ability to translate business needs into solutions;
  • Ability to work under pressure, think quickly and demonstrate initiative in solving problems;
  • Strong results focus, energetic, positive and a team player;
  • Strategic mindset and strong business acumen.
